Car : Integra Type R DC5
Parts : Fujitsubo RM01A exhaust
Tyres : Continental Competition C1
Track : Sepang F1 Circuit (Malaysia)
Situation : We had more sun than rain for this session. The best we had was a 90% dry track which was good enough to ensure fun for most drivers. The event ended with an evening CCT (Circuit Component Test) which put, not only our driving ability but also our visibility to test.
Result : I'm quite happy to achieve 2:54, but after going through some serious analysis, I still find that I have mistakes. First, my downshift is still not fast and smooth enough, especially on second gear. Secondly, I also noticed that on turn 10-14, I am not pushing fast enough. I believed that through a few more practices, I should be able to cut a few more secs before I change to a coil-over setup.

The video was taken when I had my hot lap. Actually there are a total of 4 laps but due to Youtube's 10 mins limitation for video upload, I am only able to squeue in 3 laps of the video. In general, I am quite happy to achieve a consistent 2:54-2:55 timing for the 4 laps, and I hope to be able to have my timing move closer to 2:50 on my next trackday using the same setup. I will need to think on how to correct my mistakes to achieve that.
CCT Video :

In the late evening, I had my first attempt for the CCT and it was really fun as all drivers were pushing hard to have their best shot. With such an adrenalin rush, it really feel like racing during CCT. Unlike the open track runs, most slower cars will not give way to you during CCT. You will have to change your line to get around them. The fun of the CCT was cut short as it was cancelled shortly after the first lap when one of the participant had spun out in the middle of the track.
