Traction Circle Club Trackday on 21st Oct 2006

Target : To lap below 2:55 min

Car : Integra Type R DC5 (stock)

Tyres : Continental Competition C1

Track : Sepang F1 Circuit (Malaysia)

Situation : Reached Sepang in the afternoon and it started to rain when we are doing our warm-up laps. The rain was not heavy but it kept the track wet enough to deter most drivers from wanting to clock their best lap timing. Those who show no respect for the wet track pay their toll in the form of either beaching off track or spining in the middle of the track. In the late afternoon, the rain stopped for a while and thus making the condition better.

Result : Ofcouse I failed to meet my 2:55 target, but I had fun tracking and sliding. This was my first "wet" experence in Sepang and also had my first wet spin-off which resulted in beaching at turn 5 as I try to push through at 120km/hr which I normally did in dry condition.

The video was taken in the late afternoon when the track was drier. We have a good mix of cars here, including a very rare Skyline R34 GTR. I also mixed-in some super euro beat music track to spice up the mood a little bit.

Wrong speed, wrong line, coupled with a wet track. It finally happened !
